Ink on Cheap Paper #34, Noodler's Dark Matter

Noodler's Dark Matter is part of Noodler's Other Vintage Style Ink series. It is a reverse-engineered version from a bottle of ink used at Los Alamos National Laboratory during the 1940s, when the Manhattan Project team was there developing the nuclear bomb. It develops a mild water resistance over time after it dries. Reviews for this ink can be found at Inkdependence, The Pen Outpost, and An Ink Guy. This ink isn't one that would normally be seen in an office setting, but if you are interested in using sheening in on cheap papers, this will help you see how they affect them. Ink on Cheap Paper Test #31, Noodler's American Aristocracy

Noodler's American Aristocracy is part of the fast-drying ink series which boasts a 10-second (or less) dry time on even slow-drying paper like Rhodia. These inks are fast penetrating, absorbing more quickly into paper, but it also means it's more prone to feathering, ghosting, and bleed-through. American Aristocracy is unique in that it's actually not one ink, but three - each bottle randomly contains one of three different burgundy shades. They are inspired by the favorite wines of the colonial American aristocracy - red port, dark sherry, and Madeira. It is not water resistant. A review can be found at the Fountain Pen Network. These samples were written with a LAMY 2000 with a fine nib.
