Ink on Cheap Paper #39, Muji Black Cartridge

This is the generic black cartridge included with the Muji fountain pen. It is a standard international cartridge and replacements are sold by Muji in pairs or in twenties. There are many reviews of the pen, but no reviews of the ink - which is fair considering the generic nature of it. These samples were written with the Muji fountain pen with a fine nib.

Ink on Cheap Paper #38, Iroshizuku Ina-ho

Iroshizuku Ina-ho aka "Grain of Rice" is a medium yellow-brown. The name Iroshizuku is a combination of the Japanese words Iro (Coloring), meaning to express high standards and variations of colors, and Shizuku (Droplet), meaning the very image of dripping water. Each Pilot Iroshizuku ink is inspired by beautiful Japanese environments, landscapes, and plant life. Ink on Cheap Paper #36, Noodler's Polar Black

Noodler's Polar inks are specially formulated to resist freezing in temperatures down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit. A thin icy film or slush may develop in the ink when it gets close to this limit, but it won't expand and you can even still write with it! All Polar inks are also bulletproof and lubricated. All Polar inks, except this Polar Black, are extremely fast-drying, even faster than Noodler's official fast-drying inks. However, this ink will feather badly, so their use is mainly for their anti-freezing properties. A review for this ink can be found at the Fountain Pen Network.
